Woman Hits Tree In Pasadena, DiesA woman died early Friday after losing control of her car in Anne Arundel County.Police were called at about 2 a.m. Friday to Tick Neck Road near Bristol Channel Court in Pasadena, where officials said the woman struck a tree.The woman was taken to Baltimore-Washington Medical Center, where she later died.Her identity was not immediately released.

Annapolis Mayor: Clear Cars From Emergency Snow Routes.  Annapolis residents with cars parked on Emergency Snow Routes need to find another place to park.Despite a fluctuating storm forecast, Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen issued a statement shortly before 5 p.m. that the city’s Department of Public Works is operating under a Phase II snow emergency, under which cars need to be cleared from Emergency Snow Routes.

Ravens Clinch AFC Payoff Berth. Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens backed up their brash talk, and walked into the AFC playoffs. Don’t they always? Joe Flacco threw two touchdown passes, Lewis and the rest of Baltimore’s tenacious defense bottled up Cleveland’s Peyton Hillis, and the Ravens clinched their third straight playoff appearance, beating the fading Browns 20-10 on Sunday.

What Snow? Go To The eastern Shore. A storm dumping several inches of snow throughout the South and the Northeast all but spared central Maryland over the weekend.Only trace amounts of snow were recorded in and around metropolitan Baltimore by Sunday afternoon, but on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and in southern Maryland, residents again found themselves in position to receive the brunt of the snowfall in the state. Some areas in Calvert County received as much as 7 inches by the afternoon, and the core of the Delmarva Peninsula was in position to receive as much as a foot of snow.
