Our Town Coming To The Key School

The Key School is bringing a bit of Broadway to Hillsmere Drive in Annapolis with their presentation of Our Town by Thornton Wilder.

Our Town PlaybillThornton Wilder was a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist when he wrote Our Town in 1938. Stripping the stage of artifice, Wilder set himself and his audience a formidable challenge. With two ladders, two tables and some chairs, he attempted “to find a value above all price for the smallest events of our daily lives.” This was a startlingly modern concept in 1938, sending the American drama into the twentieth century, and paving the way for many of the great playwrights to follow. Grover’s Corners belongs to all of us. It is our town—a microcosm of the human family, capturing the universal experience of being alive. Head to The Key School in Hillsmere for this American classic, presented by Key Theater.

Tickets are $10.00 and available at the door. For additional details, click here.

The show will be performed December 9, 10, and 11th in the Activities Building.  Support local youth theater!
