UPDATE 9:26AM: The fire is a stubborn fire and fire crews are having difficulty finding the seat of the fire.  Annapolis fire department is fighting the fire from the onboard and the dock supported by the fire boat. Anne Arundel County Haz Mat crews just arrived on the scene to asses any environmental impact from any spilled diesel fuel or oil into Back Creek.

According to the dock master, the boat, Monoponsono II from Upper Marlboro, is a 46 foot Chris Craft. A neighboring boat owner pointed out the owner saying that “it is a shame, they loved that boat–didn’t take it out much but absolutely loved entertaining on it every weekend.” The boat owner was unavailable for comment.
