Christmas Fire

UPDATE: We just spoke with Battalion Chief Steve Thompson who had some good news. There were five adults and one child who safely escaped the home with no injuries due to working smoke detectors which provided an early warning.  There was approximately $200,000 damage to the home and the fire is believed to have begun in the chimney.  3 firefighters were evaluated at Anne Arundel Medical Center and released.

The Wimbledon Farms home is a 5,000 sf waterfront home built in 1986. According to State records, it is owned by Douglas and Annette Finnegan.

Anne Arundel County fire crews were dispatched early this morning (2:30am) to a structure fire at 3354 Harness Creek Road in Annapolis.

Upon arrival, heavy fire was seen from the roof and arriving engines immediately called for a second alarm. We will have more details as they become available.
