Brooklyn Park Homicide 11th In County This Year

Early this morning, Anne Arundel County realized the 11th homicide of the year; there were 12 in 2009. Unfortunately, it seems like we may be on pace to surpass last year’s number.

From the police report:

On December 4, 2010, at approximately 12:13 a.m., officers responded to Dietrich’s Tavern at 7346 Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie for a report of shots being fired.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a single male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.  The victim was transported by ambulance to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he later died. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Kelly Terrell Fisher of Gatewood Court in Glen Burnie.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to investigate. It appears the suspect, a black male, approximately 5’10” to 6’2” with a medium build, exited a vehicle and began shooting at the victim with a rifle. Preliminary information indicates that the victim and suspect possibly knew each other and the victim may have been targeted for unknown reasons by the suspect.

Homicide Unit detectives continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to call Detective Michelle Mangold at 410-222-3458 or the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610.  Additionally, anonymous call or texts can be made to Metro Crime Stoppers by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP or texting information to them at CRIMES (274637).
