Package Warning

| November 29, 2010 | 1 Comment

The police will no doubt be putting out a warning soon, but here it is first. If you are shopping online, make sure that you have your packages delivered to a secure location. Every year, there are stories of crooks following the UPS, Fedex, and USPS trucks just looking for packages left at the doorstep.

If you cannot be home to accept your package, have it sent to your work or to another address where someone you trust will be there to accept it. Most stores do not require a signature for delivery below a certain price. And with the volume of packages being delivered, you can be sure that many delivery drivers may “not see” that a signature is required.

While you will likely not be out any money for purchases (stores will replace or credit cards will credit), if Aunt Myrtle sends a new iPad, you may be completely out of luck.
