The Boys & Girls Club hosted the 3rd Annual Be A Kid For A Night party on Saturday, November 6th at their Bates Club.
Several hundred people enjoyed this adult-only party which included entertainment, food, games, raffles, and a silent auction. New this year was the wildly popular Minute-To-Win-It competition.
The grand prize winner, Tad Shortz, clinched the title and a 42” Panasonic plasma TV with his “Don’t Blow the Joker” skills by leaving only seven cards precariously balanced on a bottle – after blowing off the rest of the deck, and the competition, one by one. Guests also enjoyed tarot card reading, handwriting analysis, dancing, Body Bingo, hula hoop contests, the golf swing simulator, roving entertainers, Skeeball and activities in every room of the Club.
The delicious cuisine was provided by more than 25 local caterers and restaurants including samosas from India’s Restaurant, hummus and pita bread from Lebanese Taverna, mini sandwiches from Saucy Salamander and every type of cuisine imaginable from all of the great restaurants in the area. There was also a wide array of desserts, adult libations and a good old fashioned popcorn machine to round out the festivities.
