Suspicious Package At BWI

UPDATE 8:53pm: From WBFF, Fox 45 in Baltimore: HAZMAT crews have been called to BWI Airport to investigate a package that is leaking an unknown substance inside a delivery van in the cargo area. The van arrived at the airport around 7 p.m., and fire crews from Anne Arundel County were called to make sure the substance is not dangerous.

Just before 7:00pm BWI fire crews responded to a possible hazardous materials incident based on a suspicious package. They have initiated a full hazardous materials response and have called in the specialized Anne Arundel County Hazardous Materials Team.

The box is located in the cargo terminal. Any disruptions to commercial aviation are unknown at this time.
