Firetruck Dedication October 23rd

| October 17, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Eastport Fire Station is a wonderful part of Eastport. The Station recently acquired a new truck, paid for by the Eastport Volunteer Fire Company and donations from many within the community.

On Saturday October 23, they are hosting a celebration for the new ladder truck and it will be a big community event. There will be food and drink, fire safety giveaways, kids activities, a moon bounce and K9 demonstrations. Rev MaAn Barcello, the station Chaplin and pastor of the Eastport United Methodist Church (across the street from the station) will bless the truck and then the community and fire fighters will join together to “house” the truck, pushing it into the station.

The celebration runs from 1 – 4 and everyone is welcome.
