Erwin Abrams To Keynote Hall Of Fame Awards

The 2010 Volunteer Project Hall of Fame Awards, sponsored by the Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County and the Coordinators of Volunteers of Anne Arundel County (COVAAC) will again honor volunteer projects that have had the most impact in Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis.

Erwin E. Abrams, former President of Hospice of the Chesapeake, consultant and long-time Volunteer will be The Keynote Speaker celebrating this year’s inductees into the Volunteer Project Hall of Fame.

Award winners will be announced at the Luncheon Celebration to be held at Yellow Fin Steak & Fish House in Edgewater, MD on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 11:30 – 2 pm.

“The bottom line is volunteering isn’t just nice, it’s necessary to solve some of our toughest social challenges,” said Charlie Birney, Managing Director of The Brick Companies. “As the Host Sponsor for this exciting event, The Brick Companies is pleased to honor the many volunteer projects that will be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame and we are hoping that other companies and organizations will join us to make this celebration a big success.”

The event will also include a select silent auction to benefit the Volunteer Center and COVAAC.

Businesses and organizations from throughout the county are invited to bring their staff, board members, and volunteers to the induction lunch. Reservations are $ 30.00 each and must be made by Noon on Monday, November 1, 2010.
