Child Pulled From Pasadena Pool Dies At Hospital. Anne Arundel County police said a 2-year-old Pasadena boy rescued from a pool has died.Police said the boy was swimming Saturday morning in a pool at a home in the 7900 block of Tick Neck Road and was rescued by a family member.The child was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he later died.

Dry Spell Grips MD On Both Ends. About 40 percent of Maryland is considered in a drought, and the driest parts of the state are in areas that include central Frederick County and points west.The driest areas are in Washington County, and portions of eastern Allegany County, which now come under the classification by the US Drought Monitor as in a severe drought.Also showing abnormally dry conditions for this time of year is the lower eastern shore. Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties are considered to be in a moderate drought.

Ehrlich Ad Hits Air; O’Malley Camp Responds. Robert Ehrlich has hit the airwaves with his first TV ad of the governor’s race, and his likely Democratic opponent didn’t take long to respond.The ad for Ehrlich, a Republican and former governor who is trying to unseat incumbent Martin O’Malley, is called “Let’s Get To Work” and outlines his major goals for Maryland.

Police: Aviation Crews Targeted By laser Pointers. Police in Maryland said there have been recent cases of aviation crews being targeted with laser pointers.Maryland State Police said Monday that one of its helicopter crews was recently targeted while trying to land in Ocean City to pick up a trauma patient.Baltimore County police said they recently charged someone with reckless endangerment for pointing a laser at a helicopter in flight.
