Survivor Course for the Sandwich Generation

The National Family Caregiver Support Program at the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities will present a “Survivor Course for the Sandwich Generation.” The free workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, 119 S. The term “Sandwich Generation” is defined as a generation of people who care for their aging parents while supporting their own children. Whether you have been playing the part of superwoman or superman for a long time, or are new to the role, you are invited to participate in this free workshop where you will learn how to effectively prioritize your life, establish boundaries, and secure help from family and others.

The facilitator is Mary Fridley, registered nurse and founder of Gero-Resources LLC. To register for the workshop, call 410-222-4464, Ext. 3043, or register online at www.aacounty.org/Aging/needingCare/compCaregiver.cfm.
