When I'm riding and people drive by and yell or see just how close they can get to me for the fun of it, I want to stop them and say, "What if I was your daughter, girlfriend, wife?" I am constantly thinking about safety when riding because a lot of drivers don't. My best friend from many miles away called me yesterday and said to be careful - she had been hit while riding. And to beat it all the guy got mad and said she didn't have the right to be on the road. Be safe out there. Everyone should see this. Safety should be #1 on EVERYONE's minds, whether they are driving, cycling, walking or running. My only pet peeve with "cyclists" (I hesitate calling them that) is when they ride facing traffic. Um.
