Homicide In Brooklyn Park

UPDATE 10:45PM July 1, 2010Anne Arundel police have advised that this is now a homicide and they are actively searching for suspects. From the police department’s release:

On July 1, 2010, at approximately 5:35 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to 407 Audrey Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim inside of a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). The male victim, identified as Adam Ray Bucklew, 21, of 407 Audrey Avenue, Brooklyn Park, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives began conducting interviews and witnesses reported observing two male suspects fleeing from the area. Numerous officers, a K-9 unit and an Aviation unit canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the suspects, but were unable to do so. One suspect is being described as a black male in his late teens to early 20’s, approximately 5’11”, 190 pounds, with a bald head and a large tattoo on his left arm, wearing a dark-colored t-shirt and brown baggy shorts. The second suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20’s, last seen wearing a light-colored tank top and brown baggy shorts.

At this time, the motive remains unknown and this case is actively being investigated by detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Anne Arundel County Police are involved in an active search for person(s) involved with a shooting in the Brooklyn section of Glen Burnie.

Police were called to the area near Audrey Avenue and discovered a shooting victim in his truck. The police are actively searching the area with a helicopter and K9 teams.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
