State Police Search For Possibly Armed Man.  Maryland State Police are searching for a possibly armed man who they said ran from a traffic stop.Police said officers stopped the man at about 9 a.m. Sunday along Route 50 near South Haven Road in Anne Arundel County.Officers said the man entered the woods near the highway. Troopers are searching the Herald Harbour community.Investigators called in a State Police helicopter and search dogs but the man has not been found.

Fire Consumes Lutherville Lumber Company.  The family that owns a Baltimore County lumber business suspects arson Sunday in what wasn’t the first fire at the business.Fire investigators are set to return Monday to the Bond Lumber and Home Center off Seminary Avenue in Lutherville, where a fire ignited Sunday.”My life is gone. it’s horrible,” business owner Bunnie Gleiman said. “This has been my life, my family’s life, since 1937 when my grandfather started it.”

Gas Prices Fall, But Still Higher Than ’08. Gas prices continue to fall after the Fourth of July holiday. The American Automobile Association said the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded was $2.71 Friday. Agents said that’s a decrease of 4 cents for the week. It’s still 13 cents higher than a year ago but significantly less than the $4.11 record set two years ago.

Charges Dropped Against UMD Students In Riot. Charges have been dropped against several students arrested after a riot at the University of Maryland in March, WBAL-TV 11 News has learned.The students were arrested following a celebration after the Terps upset Duke.A video released shortly after the celebration showed a police officer beating a student.
