Jobs & Poverty

On Thursday, July 15th, 2010, between noon and 1:00pm,  the Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency will its Brown Bag series featuring “Jobs and Poverty.”  The series is held at the Bates Legacy Center in Annapolis and will feature:

  • Kirkland Murray, President and CEO of Anne Arundel County Workforce Development Corporation
  • Michael Yeakey ,Director of Occupational Skills at Anne Arundel Community College
  • SPECIAL GUEST: A Community Member who will share his testimony of moving from welfare to work

The series is open to the entire community and is designed to inform and engage the community about poverty in Anne Arundel County.  Empowering people and communities is the key to addressing poverty!

Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency hosts the monthly brown bag lunch series on the third Thursday of every month.
