Annapolis’ Market House Update

UPDATE 07/22/2010 5:24pm: Mayor Cohen has responded to the inquiry by The Annapolis Sound.

The Annapolis Sound had uncovered some information that indicates that the Cohen Administration may be in negotiations with Lehr Jackson Associates for a long term lease for the Market House. As The Annapolis Sound points out this flies in the face of the transparency that Mayor Cohen assured the voters would be a hallmark of his administration.

Currently, we are digging through the campaign finance reports to see what connections (if any) Lehr Jackson Associates (or their associates) may have with the Cohen campaign.

City officials declined to comment on the lease as it was “still in negotiations” and has refused to comment further. Please take a moment to read all the details at The Annapolis Sound.
