Headaches, Apologies Continue On Rails.  The problems are not over for Penn Line riders, and top Maryland Transit Administration and MARC officials have noticed. MARC train delays are being blamed on hot weather, engineer error and aging locomotives. The state owns the trains and Amtrak operates them, and state officials said they are not happy with the service.”From our perspective, that is not the kind of thing that should happen. We’ve voiced that frustration very clearly to the highest levels of Amtrak management,” said MTA spokesman Terry Owens.

Woman Arrested On Child Porn Charges. A Frostburg woman has been arrested on child pornography and distribution charges.Toni M. Cozino, 24, was charged Tuesday after a month-long investigation.Police said they were able to trace downloadable pornographic videos of children on the Internet back to Cozino’s computer.The Maryland State Police said they searched her home Tuesday morning and found computers and storage devices that, after a preliminary analysis, contained child porn. They said more charges could be filed upon further analysis.

Baltimore Unveils Hotline For Rape Victims, Survivors. Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Police Commissioner Fred Bealefeld announced the creation of a new hot line for victims and survivors of rape and sexual assault.The hot line is meant to connect with services and report past incidents or mistreatment that may have occurred while reporting a sexual assault crime. Feds To Oust Local Bank Exec. Federal regulators said they want a local bank executive out as the result of his dealings with a housing project in another state.It’s another dose of bad news for Hunt Valley-based Eastern Savings Bank, which is under tight regulatory supervision.Bank executive Jonathan Feldman is accused in a civil case of falsifying loan documents for his own benefit in connection with a development project in Pennsylvania.
