2 Die In Edgewater House Fire.  Anne Arundel County firefighters were called to the scene of a three-alarm house fire in Edgewater on Sunday.Fire crews said the fire broke out inside a two-story split foyer home at about 11:20 a.m. The home is in the 400 block of Highland Drive.Firefighters said a second alarm was called at 11:25 a.m. and a third at 11:45 a.m.Dispatchers said a man and woman were found in the basement of the home. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Charged In Pasadena Double Stabbing.  A 22-year-old man faces murder charges after a woman died in a weekend double-stabbing.Anne Arundel County officers said a 52-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were stabbed shortly before 2:45 a.m. Saturday after returning home to the Marley Run Apartments in the 8000 block of Corkberry Lane.Officers said they found the victims, who were friends, lying on the ground in the parking lot. Investigators said they are looking into the possibility that the stabbings stemmed from an earlier dispute, and that the man followed the victims home. Police said they do not believe the attacks were random.

20 Displaced, 2 Hurt In Laurel Fire. Howard County police and fire crews are investigating an apartment fire in Laurel that injured two people.Firefighters responded to an apartment building in the 9100 block of Blues Alley at about 5:30 a.m. Monday. The three-alarm blaze was brought under control within about 45 minutes.Four apartments were damaged. The American Red Cross is providing assistance to 20 residents who were displaced.

1 Injured In Anne Arundel County ShootingPolice are investigating a shooting that happened on Route 100 near Interstate 97.Officers said they were alerted to the case at about 3 a.m. Sunday. Investigators said they believe the shooting happened at about 1:45 a.m.Police said they were called to the Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick to speak with the victim.He told police he was in the front seat of a car on Route 100 when he was shot by someone. Medics said the two other people in the car were not injured.
