More Charges For Korvin and Stryker
According to The Capital, it seems that the police are preparing an additional set of charges against Wade Korvin and Wesley Stryker.
Subsequent to their arrest, several other people have come forward to report similar incidents. Currently, the two teens are being held at the Jennifer Road Detention center without bail.
Police say that, after changing their stories, they admitted that they picked up rocks from a local McDonald’s with the intent to throw them at pedestrians. Stryker is quoted as saying they were “just being stupid.”
Just being stupid is an understatement. Both Stryker and Korvin were rising Seniors at Severna Park High School and Archbishop Spalding (respectively) and both were avid athletes and consider rising stars in lacrosse with Korvin playing both football and lacrosse for Spalding.
Now, instead of possibly looking at scholarship money for college, the two young men are looking at a LOT of time in jail. Korvin has been (currently) charged with five counts of First Degree Assault and two counts of Second Degree Assault. First Degree Assault calls for a maximum of 25 years in prison for each count and Second Degree Assault calls for 10 years. Stryker was charged with one of each. If convicted on all counts, Korvin is facing 125 years and Stryker 35. Of course those are the maximum and any sentence handed down from an Anne Arundel court will likely be significantly less than the maximum.
