Shooter Sought In Route 50 Drive By Attack. State troopers are searching for the shooter in a drive-by shooting on Route 50 on Saturday.According to officers, two men were headed west on the road when a black Range Rover came up from behind and started firing.Kevin Brown, 24, of Upper Marlboro, was grazed, while Justin Bentley, 24, of Columbia, was not injured, police said.The men did not call police and investigators said they only found out about what happened after seeing the car pulled over.The victims told police they were headed home from a club in Washington, D.C., when the attack happened.

Mourners Say Final Goodbyes To Slain Lacrosse Player. More then 1,800 people said goodbye to a young Cockeysville woman who allegedly lost her life to domestic violence.Funeral services for Yeardley Lovewere were held Saturday in Baltimore at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen.The 22-year-old University of Virginia student was found beaten to death in her off-campus apartment on Monday. George Huguely, a member of the UVA men’s lacrosse team, remains jailed on a charge of first-degree murder.

Baseball Sees 19th Perfect Game Ever. Dallas Braden definitely owns the mound now. Braden pitched the 19th perfect game in major league history on Sunday, shutting down the majors’ hottest team and leading the Oakland Athletics to a 4-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Braden threw his arms in the air after Gabe Kapler grounded out to shortstop for the final out, his simmering feud with Yankees star Alex Rodriguez merely a footnote to the first perfect game for Oakland in 42 years.

Maryland Gets No. 3 Seed In NCAA Lax Tourney.  The Maryland Terrapins will enter the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament as the third overall seed and will face Hofstra in the first round on Saturday at noon. It’s the Terps eighth straight appearance in the tournament.Johns Hopkins, getting a much needed victory on Saturday against Loyola, will play Duke in the opening round in Durham, North Carolina on Saturday at noon. It’s the 39th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the Blue Jays. Hopkins starts postseason play with a record of 7-7.
