Random Shooting At MD 100 & I-97

Another Sniper Situation?

Anne Arundel County police are on the lookout for an unidentified suspect who shot a man early this morning who was a passenger in a car driving along MD Route 100 near I-97 .

The victim transported himself to Calvert Memorial Hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.  According to police, he was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Route 100 near I-97 south when he was shot in the lower extremity by an unknown suspect. There were no other vehicles in the vicinity at the time of the shooting and it is believed the shot came from the wood line area of Route 100 near exit #13 (exit for I- 97).
