ITT Corp. Chooses Anne Arundel For New Facility. Anne Arundel County officials said ITT Corp. has selected Hanover as the site for a new information technology facility.Plans call for creating 90 jobs over the next four years at the company’s Information Technology Global Center of Excellence that will open Aug. 1.The county won out over five potential sites, including New York and Colorado.

150K Lose Water After Electrical Fire. An early-morning electrical fire caused at least 150,000 people to lose water.The fire occurred at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday in the electrical lines that feed the pumping station on Hillen Road near Towson Reservoir in central Baltimore County.

Info Sought In Dog Abuse Case. The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter is looking for information on those who abused a dog that was rescued on Sunday.BARCS said the dog was rescued in the 3700 block of Greenspring Avenue in Baltimore. Officers said the abuse happened near the grounds of Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary.

Medical Marijuana Bill Likely Will Not Pass. A bill allowing doctors to prescribe marijuana appears all but dead at the state House, despite widespread bipartisan support in each chamber and the backing of numerous medical associations.So many concerns were raised in the House that bill supporters agreed to establish a work group to resolve them, and that work group wants to put off any action until next year.
