First Six Flags Concert Announced

Iyaz & Vita Chambers In Concert

Six Flags America, announces Iyaz and Vita Chambers in concert on Sunday, May 2. The event, featuring two of the hottest up and coming artists in music, will be held in the Gotham Arena at 4 p.m. The concert is free with paid park admission or a 2010 Season Pass, and kicks off the 2010 Starburst Summer Concert series presented by T-Mobile.

Discovered by R&B superstar Sean Kingston, Iyaz took the world by storm in 2009 with his global chart-topping hit “Replay,” the first release from his upcoming studio album Stay. Stay is scheduled for release on April 27, the week of his performance at Six Flags America.

Vita Chambers, a 16-year-old singer from Barbados, is living proof that the future of pop is going to unfold in a world without boundaries and limitations.  The singer plotted her own discovery on the borderless World Wide Web, posting video and audio streams of songs she co-wrote and recorded. Vita has a worldwide recording deal with SRP/ Universal Motown Records and her first single is gaining traction on radio stations around the country.    Vita first performed at Six Flags America last Labor Day weekend, opening for Hey Monday and Forever the Sickest Kids.

The park is currently open weekends in April and May and opens daily on Friday, May 28. Hurricane Harbor, Six Flags America’s water park begins its season with an “extra-splash weekend” on Saturday, May 22. Get in on all the fun all season long by purchasing a 2010 Season Pass for just $49.99 — a $20.00 discount from the regular season pass price of $69.99 — for a limited time.
