Riva Trace Church Fire Update

| February 10, 2010 | 0 Comments

No Damage, No Power

Earlier this afternoon, we received reports of a fire at the Riva Trace Baptist Church in Davidsonville. Apparently, there was a failure with BGE’s facilities which necessitated fire department response. The church was unharmed; yet still remains without power. The church released the following statement:

Due to the record snowfall and a resulting power outage at the church, all activities are cancelled through Saturday.

The power outage has resulted from a major failure in our primary electrical system which is currently being diagnosed. While local fire personnel were dispatched due to the failure, there was no fire as may have been reported.

The continuation of Sunday’s Worship Services and Programs will depend on the restoration of power. All updates will be posted on our website (www.rtbc.org) as well as on facebook, as soon as they are available.
