Area Airports, Amtrak Slow To Pick Up Again. Few flights are arriving or leaving from airports in the Baltimore-Washington area, and crews were working to clear runways of record amounts of snow. Amtrak services have also been scaled back. Few if any commercial flights were expected to get out of Baltimore’s Thurgood Marshall Airport on Sunday after the area got about 25 inches of snow. Southwest Airlines, whose hub is in Baltimore, cancelled all flights for Sunday.

Maryland Roads Still Packed With Snow, Ice. Crews from both city and state agencies are still trying to clean up roads, while residents are shoveling driveways and cleaning off cars, in the wake of a massive snowstorm. More than 2 feet of snow fell in many locations in the 11 News viewing area over the Friday-Saturday span, with more than three feet in a few cities, and the storm has closed schools for Monday.

Disabled Vehicles Top Calls For MD State Police. Maryland State Police said calls about disabled vehicles have been the most frequent call they have received since snow started falling.State police said the calls usually involve vehicles and drivers not equipped to travel in extreme weather and said most drivers do not have an important reason to be on the road in a storm.

Teen Injured In Snow Plow Crash. Maryland State Police said a 15-year-old girl was critically injured when a van she was riding in crashed into a snow plow.State Police said the unidentified teen was injured late Friday afternoon on Route 462 at Interstate 95 in Harford County.State police say the van ran into the back of a snow plow truck parked on the shoulder.
