Man Shot In Odenton. Anne Arundel County police are investigating a home invasion and shooting in Odenton.Officers were called to the 500 block of Williamsburg Lane shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday.Police found a 24-year-old man who had been shot several times and a 21-year-old woman who was injured.The man is currently in critical condition at Shock Trauma. The woman was treated and released. Neither victim has been identified.

Snow Days Depleting At MD Schools. Many Maryland school districts are concerned they’re running out of snow days for the year — with more snow coming.Anne Arundel County, which closed on Wednesday, is already out of snow days, even though the county still held its monthly Board of Education meeting.”If we have more closings, we are going to have to extend the school year,” said county schools spokesman Bob Mosier.

House Committee Kills Anti-Gay Marriage Bill. Members of a Maryland House committee shot down a bill that would prohibit Maryland from recognizing gay marriages validated by other states or countries. The House of Delegates Judiciary Committee voted against the proposal from Baltimore County Delegate Emmett C. Burns Jr. on Wednesday afternoon.

Fired Caregiver Due In Court On Abuse Charges. A former caregiver charged with leaving three blind, deaf and developmentally disabled men locked in a car has a court date in Frederick.Brian Fleming, 47, of Fairfield, Pa., was scheduled for trial Thursday in Frederick County District Court.The trial could be postponed if Fleming chooses to have his case heard by a jury.
