Emergency Crews Urge Safety During Cleanup. Emergency officials are concerned about the safety of state residents after the massive snowstorm.Many people have been walking in roads since sidewalks aren’t cleared — a practice that can be dangerous, especially if you aren’t paying attention.  Officials are reminding people to leave a shovel in their car and dress prepared for the weather if you have to go out.

Gas Stations, Food Stores Low On Supplies.  The Blizzard of 2010 was a blessing and a curse for businesses. While some have seen a spike in sales, others said they hope the snow would just go away.Several grocery and convenience stores told 11 News they can’t stock the shelves fast enough, and gas stations said they are running out of fuel.The Washington-Maryland-Delaware Service Station Association said there’s concern that many stations are not going to get the deliveries they need.

Crews Dig Out, Prepare For Next Snowstorm.  If digging out of the snow from this past weekend’s massive blizzard isn’t hard enough, the state is trying to prepare a plan of attack for even more snow that’s expected Tuesday into Wednesday. More than 2 feet of snow fell in many locations in the 11 News viewing area over the Friday-Saturday span, with more than three feet in a few cities, and the storm has already closed many schools for Tuesday. Another foot of snow is expected Tuesday into Wednesday.

Stranded Group Finds Food, Comfort In MD. A Chicago church group stranded on a western Maryland highway after a ferocious weekend snowstorm enjoyed food and football courtesy of a small-town volunteer fire department.Hancock Fire Company Chief Greg Yost said Monday that 40 members of the Deliverance Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith joined local firefighters at their annual Super Bowl party Sunday night.
