Remains Found On Grounds Of Bed And Breakfast. Authorities said skeletal human remains have been found on the grounds of a bed and breakfast in downtown Snow Hill.Police say the remains were found after several hours of searching as part of a larger investigation. The remains are believed to be a woman’s, and the person is being referred to as “Jane Doe.”The remains were sent to the state Medical Examiner’s office in Baltimore for identification.

Delegate Discovers Sex Offender Laws Loosely Enforced. Legislation requiring the state to collect specific information from convicted child sex offenders and post it online is not being carried out.Maryland’s sex offender registry exposes where child molesters live and gives their names and employers. They fill out a form revealing scars, tattoos, aliases, computer screen names and more.Thousands complied under a law passed by the General Assembly in 2008, but bill sponsor Delegate Michael Smigiel said that information has never made it to the registry.

2 Alarm Fire Destroys Severna Park Home. Firefighters in Anne Arundel County spent about an hour Friday extinguishing the flames of a fire at a Severna Park home. The fire broke out at 100 Sherburn Road shortly before 5 p.m., and officials said it quickly went to two alarms.

MD To Decide Soon If It Will Waive Snow Days.  Maryland may waive some school days for districts forced to close due the historic snowstorm, but school districts will likely have to deal with most of the burden.WBAL TV 11 News has learned the decision could come as early as Tuesday, when the request for waivers goes before the state Board of Education. Meanwhile, local superintendents got to share their concerns with state schools Superintendent Dr. Nancy Grasmick in Anne Arundel County on Friday.
