Man Dies In Eastport Fire

UPDATE 7:08am: The Baltimore Sun has a few more details. The middle aged man was the sole occupant of the home.

Annapolis City has reported it’s first fatal fire of the year. A man died last night in a fire at a home on Bay Ridge Avenue. The two-story home was across the street from the Eastport fire station and it took firefighters an hour to control. Access and hydrants were reportedly not an issue.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause. The man’s name has not been released.
