Schools: 2 Hour Delay All Week

Anne Arundel Schools Delayed All Week

From Bob Mosier, Spokesman for Anne Arundel County Schools:

Due to continuing concerns about bus travel, bus stops, and community sidewalks, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late from Wednesday, February 17, through Friday, February 19. There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes on any of these days.

Schools will have additional staff members on hand through the end of this week to assist with students at arrival and departure. Parents are urged to exercise extreme caution and to transport their children to school if possible should they feel conditions at bus stops or on sidewalks are unsafe. Because of the storms, the school lunch menus will be modified at all schools for the remainder of this week.

Finally, report cards, which were scheduled to be distributed to students on February 9, will be sent home with students tomorrow.
