Third Homeless Resource Day will be in Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County’s  third annual Homeless Resource Day will be held March 27 at Glen Burnie High School.

Homeless Resource Day has grown each year, and serves an important need in the community in these difficult economic times. I encourage private businesses, individuals and nonprofits to join us in providing basic items and services to individuals and families who do not have a job or a place to live.

County Executive Leopold

Last year, over 310 volunteers, representing 45 County agencies and non profit organizations served 418 homeless individuals and families.

Volunteers are needed to participate and to donate much needed items. Donations of travel size toiletries, socks, underwear, canned food, backpacks, and wipes are needed.  More information can be found at the Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County’s website.  For more information, please call Chris Poulsen at 410-269-4460.
