UPDATE: Morton’s The Steakhouse

Morton’s PR Firm Responds

The public relations firm for Morton’s just sent the following email to clarify the reason behind the closing of the steakhouse in Annapolis.

On behalf of Morton’s The Steakhouse, I wanted to get in touch with you about the Annapolis restaurant closing.

The company’s decision to close the Annapolis restaurant reflects the impact the economic downturn has had on the Annapolis market.

Morton’s Annapolis employees were informed of the decision to close the Annapolis restaurant during an all staff meeting on Monday morning. Morton’s truly appreciates the dedication and hard work of all of the impacted employees and has offered assistance in a number of ways, including the opportunity to transfer to another Morton’s location, based on availability. (Locally, there are six Morton’s restaurants in the Washington D.C. area, as well as one located in Downtown Baltimore.)

Additionally, we want to recognize and thank our loyal Annapolis guests who have supported us since we opened, and we look forward to their next dining visit at one of our other 76 Morton’s steakhouses worldwide.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Knauer
