Lothian House Fire

2 Firefighters Injured

Anne Arundel and Prince Georges County firefighters battled a larger house fire in Lothian this afternoon.  Two firefighters were injured–one with serious but non life-threatening injuries and another with minor injuries. The injuries occurred when the first floor collapsed into the basement.

The fire started about 1:45pm this afternoon in a 2-story home on  Little Road in Lothian. One occupant was in the building at the time and no cause has been determined. An investigation is ongoing.

The two audio files are of the scene. In the first, you can hear the MAYDAY call when the firefighters fell to the basement (5:40) and can hear a minute and ten seconds later (6:50) when they were pulled out.
