Anne Arundel Official Delay Vote On Slots Again. Local officials in Maryland have decided to delay a vote on the state’s largest slot machine proposal.  The Anne Arundel County Council, which only had four of its seven members present, voted late Monday night to put the vote off until Dec. 21.The decision was made after residents testified for hours both for and against allowing a facility with 4,750 slot machines near a popular shopping mall.Meanwhile, the state slots location commission voted to approve the license for Arundel Mills Mall on Monday afternoon.

Suspect Sought In Laurel Armed CarjackingPolice are investigating an armed carjacking in which a man forced the victim to ride along as he withdrew money from the victim’s bank account. The victim called police shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday to report the carjacking that began at the Whiskey Bottom Shopping Center in the 9100 block of All Saints Road in Laurel.

Baltimore Closing More City Fire Stations.  More fire stations in Baltimore will likely be closing soon due to budget issues.  Under Fire Chief James Clack’s proposal, Truck 15 will be taken out of service from the station in the 1200 block of North Montford Avenue in east Baltimore, Truck 16 will be taken out of the station in the 400 block of McMechen Street and the Hollins Street Station in west Baltimore will be closed.

Flacco’s Interceptions Doom Ravens.  The standings say the Green Bay Packers are in good shape for the playoffs. But Monday night’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens showed they still have some work to do to be taken seriously once they get there.  Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, including two to tight end Jermichael Finley, and the Packers beat the Ravens 27-14 in a penalty-filled game Monday night.
