MD Faces Another $77 Million Revenue Drop. Maryland’s revenue projections dropped another $77 million in the latest revision released Wednesday, but state officials saw signs of a turnaround because the decline wasn’t nearly as steep as in previous revisions during the recession.The projections released by the Board of Revenue Estimates cover fiscal year 2010 and 2011. The revisions marked down the current fiscal year’s revenues by about $15 million, with fiscal year 2011 revenues knocked down about $62 million from earlier estimates.

Southwest Airlines Adding Flights To BWI.   Southwest Airlines said Wednesday it will add more than 20 flights to its daily schedule out of BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport. The additions take effect in May and will increase the airline’s daily nonstop flight total to 181.The carrier also said BWI will be a direct destination for a new Panama City Beach service, with two daily nonstops.

2 Children Safely Pulled From Mud Pit. A 12-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl were pulled to safety after becoming stuck in a mud pit Wednesday morning.  Baltimore city fire officials said the incident happened at Sinclair Lane and Clareway Avenue.The children were taking a shortcut to their school, Sinclair Lane Elementary, when they fell in mud in a construction area just after 8 a.m.

City Saves $3.1M With Downtown Shuttle Delay.  A free downtown Baltimore shuttle service is slated to start next month. That’s about six months later than originally planned, but officials said the delay will save the city $3.1 million.The Charm City Circulator will ferry its first passengers between the Hollins Market area and Harbor East on Jan. 11. The Board of Estimates approved the deal on Wednesday.
