Ravens’ Suggs Sued For $70M. A woman who claims Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs fathered her two children has filed a $70 million suit against the football player.  Candace Williams is seeking $50 million in punitive damages and $20 million in compensatory damages from the three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher.

Hypothermia Cited In Four MD Deaths. Officials with the chief medical examiner’s office said Thursday that hypothermia was a contributing factor in the deaths of four Marylanders since Nov. 21.

School Officials Push For More STEM Programs. Maryland continues to push a key educational program it believes will give students a leg up for the future.  State officials said the STEM Program, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, is crucial because what students learn in those fields could add up to a lot of jobs.Maryland is among the many states pouring millions of dollars into STEM programs, including a high-tech virtual classroom at Chesapeake High School in Baltimore County.

State Trooper Convicted Of Double Dipping.  A Maryland state trooper has been convicted of double-dipping by working private security jobs while on the clock.  Attorney General Douglas Gansler announced Thursday that 36-year-old Andrew Mohan was convicted of two counts of felony theft and five counts of misconduct in office.The convictions followed a seven-day trial in Prince George’s County.
