A Family Volunteer Day January 18, 2010

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said: “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.” The Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County and its partners invite you to the first annual “Everyone Can Serve: A Family Volunteer Day” on January 18th. Families and individual volunteers will have the opportunity to come together and volunteer for multiple nonprofit organizations at one central location, the Bates Legacy Center, located at 1103 Smithville St.  Annapolis, MD 21401.

Service projects will benefit populations served by the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center, Banneker-Douglass Museum, Chesapeake Children’s Museum, Bello Machre, Assistance League, Connecting Communities, Operation Military Kids, Youth Volunteer Corps of the Corridor and more.

Join us for this new event on Monday, January 18, 2010, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., at the Bates Legacy Center. “Everyone Can Serve” is a perfect opportunity for families of all shapes and sizes to give back to their community.
