County To Revise School Crime Reporting Policy. If you work for the Anne Arundel County school system and break the law, you may have only 72 hours to come clean, according to a new policy the district is proposing in the name of safety.Even though the revised policy is far from being official, it passed on the first reading before the county Board of Education.

Woman Killed In Home Invasion. The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office said a woman was shot and killed during a home invasion and robbery at her Chesapeake City home.Terri Ann McCoy, 40, was shot early Wednesday at her home. She was taken to Christiana Hospital and pronounced dead of gunshot wounds. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Michael Holmes said the people who lived in the home were awakened by armed intruders at about 1:20 a.m.

Man’s Hour-Long Ambulance Wait Prompts Concern. The daughter of a dialysis patient claims she waited extremely long for a city ambulance crew to arrive to transport her father to a hospital, but fire union officials said long waits are a growing problem because the city is asking them to do more with less.City fire officials said they prioritize calls when people call 911, and when the city’s 24 ambulances are tied up, firefighters cross-trained as paramedics respond in fire trucks.

Ehrlich Still Undecided On Governor’s Run. Former Republican Gov. Robert Ehrlich remains uncertain about his political plans.Ehrlich said last month that he would decide whether to run again for governor based on how his party fared in gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey.Republican candidates won both those contests on Tuesday.
