Agreement Brings 5700 New Jobs To Port Of Baltimore. Thousands of new jobs are coming to the Port of Baltimore after a new partnership was announced Friday. Several state and city leaders gathered Friday for Gov. Martin O’Malley’s announcement that Ports America is starting a new 50-year contract with the Maryland Transportation Authority to operate Baltimore’s Seagirt Marine Terminal.

Howard County Officer Found Dead In Home. Howard County Police said one of its officers was found dead in at home on Sunday afternoon. Investigators said a family member went to check on the officer at home and found the officer dead at about 1 p.m.

Vehicle Crashes Into Harbor; Woman’s Body RecoveredA Baltimore City dive team recovered the body of a woman from a submerged vehicle. Officials said the car apparently lost control and crashed into the Inner Harbor around 3:30 a.m. Friday near pier 5, off Pratt Street.

Pursuit Ends In Police Involved Shooting.  A police pursuit that began in Baltimore County ended with one of two suspects shot in Baltimore City. According to officials, Baltimore County police were chasing two murder suspects around 7 p.m. near Old Frederick Road in connection with Tuesday night’s deadly double shooting at the Yours Convenience Store in the 700 block of Frederick Road.
