    White and Gay?
I wonder, what would be the reaction had someone used the fact that someone was BLACK and gay as a reason to fear them.
Double standard needs to end. Ms. Hoyle should drop out of politics right now. People like her have no right to be in the public arena.

Maybe Jessie or Al will come down and stand up for Bowlings rights.

  • Watching the Watchers

As I have noticed that is a digital copy and not a scanned document captured in the field, care to inform your readers who supplied you this JPG? Has anyone confirmed that this document has been seen in the field?

The origin of this document is the real story here, not its contents.

  • Jean

Makes me want to vote for a White Gay Man.

The document was obtained from someone in the Bowling campaign and was verified as the same one that was placed on the windshield of the car of another person living in the ward.

  • Jimbo

This needs to be treated as a hate crime just as it would if it were the other way around. Anyone found involved in it needs to spend some time in jail.

  • Robert McWillumms

So first we attack Fox for telling the truth and now the publishers of this flyer ? This is america. Jesus was persecuted too, and neither Fox nor the Flyer publishers should be shamed for their righteousness.

  • Rob Beall

We need to find out who did this! This is not the kind of town we are! This makes me very sad.
    Rob Beall

  • Jimmy F

More of a reason to vote for Dave Cordle for Mayor !

  • Bob McWilliams

I see someone has made a post, using the ficticious name of Robert McWillumms.

You can be sure that anything I write, whether it be in a blog or the newspaper, will include my correct name – Bob McWilliams

Perhaps in the upcoming Attorney General’s investigation about the hateful flyer circulated about Scott Bowling, they will be interested to find the real identity of Robert McWillumms. That persons verbage sounds similar to someone who frequently posts in the Capital.

    Dear Robert McWillumms,
A writer needs to identify themselves to deserve freedom of speech. Publishing this without being willing to stand up for what you have to say forfeits integrity. The author’s disgrace. I support freedom of speech, expression, color of skin, and sexual preference, just as long as you have the spine to stand up for what you believe in with your identity.

  • Jimmy F

Well, I just checked out the unofficial results and it now seems we have a repeat of Ellen Moyer meaning that Annapolis is still doomed!
It’s great to actually see that Cordle had actually beat Cohen in a few wards. Wonder how this would have turned out if Fox had not run ??

I completely agree with Jimbo. This person or persons should punished to the fullest extent of the law. We can not and will not tolerate this ignorant behavior. Shame on you who ever you are and show your face coward!

I’ve just read this flyer backwards and forwards and it sounds like someone is trying to cause a problem between black & white, straight and gay. It does not read like anything coming from the AA community. I hope that people that made harsh statements criticizing the AA community will realize this. Something smells very fishy and its not the Bay.

  • http://www.eyeonannapolis.net Eye Spy

Kisha. I agree with you that there is more to this. It obviously was designed to cause a stir.

However, the fact remains that it was written by someone—white, black, brown, pink, green, gay, straight, transgendered, whatever and it is hateful and needs to be addressed.

To be honest, I can see this being written by white or black. The crime is that it was written at all.

Did this letter have some impact on the election results? I am not sure we will ever know; but as I have said before, the silence from Classie Hoyle (the undeniable beneficiary of the flier’s words) is deafening.
