Community Involvement Starts At Home

While growing up in Annapolis, I had great examples of active civic minded parents. My father was one of the “founding fathers” of Peninsula Athletic League (PAL), which still serves City Youths today. My mother still tirelessly volunteers at her adopted hometown church in Delaware.

My community involvement comes naturally to me and I believe it is a prerequisite for serving in any Public Office. My documented Community Service/Volunteer Time is extensive.

My current list of Volunteer time/Community Service or where I donate my time is as follows:

  • Board Member Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation Local Workforce-Appointed 2008, Re-appointed 2009.
  • Board of Director’s St. Mary’s Royal Blue Club (501c non-profit) 2001-to present.
  • County Certified Youth Football Coach 2007-to present.
  • Certified (STAND) Volunteer St. Mary’s Schools 2008-to present.
  • High School Football Coach St. Mary’s High School 2008- to present.
  • County Certified Girls Youth Lacrosse Coach 2008-to present.
  • Active St. Mary’s Parishioner.

As you can see,”giving back” to your community comes very naturally and I consistently look for other opportunities to serve my fellow Annapolitans. Before you ask people to vote for you, I believe you should serve your community first! My community service is extensive and is one of the reasons that I am most qualified candidate to serve the voters of Ward 5 as their Aldermen for the next four years.

Sincerely,

Jim Conley

Conley outdid Zina for Sleaze. Yet, seemingly we only had a limited amount of indignation, and Zina used it all up. Amazing, he is still running.

More amazing, if anyone will vote for him.

Paul, You seem to spend your time on these blogs to get your name in lights. Were you the last guy picked for kickball? You seem to slam every GOP candidate. I am sure you would not say these things to people’s face as you are one of those internet cowards. Conley is a great guy and he has coached my son (we live in Newtowne 20, far from your Eastport home)@ PAL for three years and I voted for him against Finlayson, who taught me in school. Stay in Easport and vote for your jet set liberals and leave good people alone. An African Dem who supports Conley.

PS Many of my folks will leave the Dem’s this time( see Zina).
