		<description>Actually Paul, this blog (unlike others--and that is not a stab, but a fact) is pretty apolitical. We have not repeatedly thrown candidates under the bus and have reported true news (Sam, Zina) when it happened.

There is not a red slant to this blog at all and I am curious as to why you see that.

The above politicians have indeed switched parties and it has gone from red to blue to purple. The point was made that political parties are less significant in local races than state or national races.

Just yesterday, The Capital had a piece discussing this and it was stated that local residents are more concerned with when a pothole is going to be fixed than a Mayor&#039;s standing on abortion.</description>
