Disabled War Vet Gets New Home In Pasadena. On the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, a local soldier who was almost fatally wounded by an IED while trying to save another soldier’s life in Baghdad received the gift of a lifetime — a place to live.

Mom Pleads Guilty To Severe Child Abuse. A southern Maryland woman accused of killing two of her adopted daughters and keeping their bodies in a freezer for months has pleaded guilty to first-degree child abuse involving a third girl.Renee Bowman, 44, entered the plea Friday in Calvert County Circuit Court.
