Earlier this week, we repoorted on Annapolis Mayor Ellen Moyer and her recent blog postings on the Mayor’s “Official” blog.
In that entry, we completely mischaracterized a lack of response to our inquiry. When we contacted the City’s Public Information Officer (PIO) Rhonda Wardlaw, we received an autoreply email that she was out of town. We received a similar message on her voicemail. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response prior to publishing the article.
In the article, we stated that it was “not surprising” to not receive a response. This was not directed to Ms. Wardlaw personally as she is prompt at returning calls and emails. The “not surprising” was an opinion based on the various changes which were simultaneously occurring.
We apologize to Ms. Wardlaw and have corrected the original article accordingly.
