Suspect Tried To Run Over Officer

UPDATE: 10:24pm Anne Arundel Police release a statement.

Our regional partner, WBAL-TV is reporting that an Anne Arundel County police officer suffered minor injuries while trying to apprehend a suspect in Baltimore County.

Two officers tried to pull over a car with suspended plates in Glen Burnie. The driver stopped but started to pull away, nearly hitting the officer. About a half-hour later, other officers spotted the man getting into a car in the Baltimore Highlands area of Baltimore County. They said the man rammed an unmarked Anne Arundel County police car and hit one of the officers who stood nearby. That officer suffered minor hand and leg injuries, but fired multiple rounds into the car before it sped away.
