Rotary Club Announces New Officers

Vernon B. Cunningham, of Riva, vice president of investments for Bank of America Investments in Annapolis, recently was installed as president of the Rotary Club of Annapolis for the 2009-2010 year. Mr. Cunningham served as secretary of the club in 2006-2007, was chairman of the club’s annual crab feast fundraiser, and been a member in the Annapolis club since 2001.

William J.  Regan, of Annapolis, vice president of C&F Mortgage Co. in Annapolis, is vice president; Bernadette Lee Carson, of Annapolis, president of Carson Consultants of Annapolis, is secretary; and Elaine Shanley, of Annapolis, financial planner with Young & Co., is treasurer. Chara B. Hutzell, of Annapolis, sales manager with Loews Annapolis Hotel, is president elect.

Lane directors are Marshall P. Larner, of Annapolis, principal, J. Gordon & Co. Inc., club service; Anthony J. Spencer, of Annapolis, director, Annapolis City Office of Youth and Community Affairs, youth and vocational service; David H. Cordle, of Annapolis, chief investigator, Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office,  community service; Betty H. Schweitzer, of Severna Park, retired hospital administrator, international; and  John A. Weese, of Annapolis, retired engineering professor, membership.
