The Reincarnation Of The Swiftboat Veterans
As we mentioned several weeks ago, the politics in Annapolis were about to heat up. With the advances we have seen technologically, people are no longer dependent on physical propaganda to attack a candidate. Today it is done virtually and here is the first outright attack against mayoral Candidate Trudy McFall.
Originally announced on the new (and still somewhat dubious) blog Annapolis Political Scene, it appears that some individual, group of individuals, organization, or campaign is gunning for Trudy McFall.
The attack website, The Truth About Trudy McFall is owned by a company, CampaignSecrets, out of Georgia. Their servers are hosted on a company from Louisville, KY called MaximumASP. The domain was created less than a month ago and is set to expire next July–presumably when the damage is done (or not).
As you look around CampaignSecrets‘ website, it appears to be a tool used to effectively run and manage small election campaigns. Perhaps they also quietly specialize in political assassinations.
While speculation might indicate that this is an attack by one of her democratic opponents in the upcoming primary, the “satisfied client” list from CampaignSecrets certainly does not indicate that either.
- Republican Party of Florida
- Republican Party of Texas
- Republican Party of Colorado
- Republican Party of Tennessee
- Republican Party of North Carolina
- Republican Party of Delaware
- Missouri House Republican Campaign Committee
- National Federation of Republican Women
- Georgia House Republican Caucus
Calls to Mark Montini at CampaignSecrets were not returned and the McFall campaign did not respond prior to publishing.
