Drive By Shooting In Brooklyn Park

Suspects Still At Large

According to a release form the Anne Arundel County Police:

On August 13, 2009, at approximately 12:21 a.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the area of Levine Road and West Meadow Road in Brooklyn Park for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 17-year-old male, who was suffering from a minor laceration to the head. The victim advised that he had been sitting in his vehicle with a friend when several shots were fired through the rear window of their vehicle. The laceration was apparently sustained during the course of the shots being fired, but it is unclear if the injury was a result of the projectile or the ensuing debris. The victim then started the vehicle and drove away on Levine Road. As the vehicle approached Arundel Road W, the victim failed to stop at the intersection and struck a vehicle that had the right of way. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma for treatment and was released several hours later. Several officers canvassed the area, but were unable to develop suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing.
