Busy Weekend For Anne Arundel Police

Many Arrests Made Over WeekendAnne Arundel Police Department

From a release sent out this morning from the Anne Arundel County Police Department:

ROBBERY ARREST LINTHICUM
On August 14, 2009, officers responded to a report of a robbery of a citizen that just occurred. Upon arrival, the victim advised that he was attempting to purchase a black Ford Mustang from his friend’s cousin when a male subject struck him in his face with a closed fist and knocked him to the ground. The friend’s cousin then pulled a knife from her waistband and demanded that the victim to stay on the ground. The victim complied and the suspects then took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and fled southbound on B&A Boulevard in a vehicle.

Several officers canvassed the area and located the car and one suspect. Suspect 1: Bobby Joe Lee Mays, 25, of 325 Chaney Lane, Glen Burnie, MD. Suspect 2(still at large): White female, approximately 20 years old, wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue pants

ROBBERY ARREST BROOKLYN PARK

On August 15, 2009, officers responded to the area of Belle Grove Road and W Meadow Road in Brooklyn Park for a report of an armed robbery of a citizen that had just occurred.

Upon arrival,the victim, said he was walking in the area of Belle Grove Road and W Meadow Road when two males approached him from behind. One of the suspects then placed a black handgun to the victim’s head and demanded his valuables. The victim complied and the two suspects fled the area on foot toward Baltimore City.

Officers canvassed the area and were able to locate two possible suspects. Suspect #1: Kevin Michael Moore, 19, of 26 Twin Circle Way, Baltimore, MD. Suspect #2: Black male in his late teens early twenties, approx. 6’0”, wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

ASSAULT ARRESTS CHURCHTON

On August 15, 2009, officers responded to the 5400 block of Muddy Creek Road in Churchton for a report of a large fight. Upon arrival, witnesses reported that the party had ended but there had been altercations earlier in the evening and the people involved had left. Around the same time, officers responded to the 4400 block of Muddy Creek Road when a car parked on the side of the road with several female subjects was yelling for fire and police assistance to attend to an injured subject.

Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old female victim inside the parked vehicle, who was suffering from an apparent head injury. Paramedics arrived on scene and discovered that the victim had a contusion on her head and had no sensation to her lower extremities. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma with serious injuries.

Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted earlier at the party.  Four suspects were positively identified as being involved with the assault and were arrested and charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment. Suspect #1: Amanda Rose Brown, 21, of of 5455 Muddy Creek Road. Suspect #2: Tabitha Marie Brown, 19, of 5455 Muddy Creek Road. Suspect #3: 16-year-old female of 5455 Muddy Creek Road. Suspect #4: 15-year-old female from Shady Side.

ROBBERY ARREST DAVIDSONVILLE

On August 15, 2009, officers responded to an armed robbery at the BP gas station located in the 500 block of Central Avenue West in Davidsonville.

The clerk reported that a male subject entered the building displayed a handgun and demanded the money. The clerk complied and the suspect got into the driver’s seat of a green two-door vehicle and headed east on Central Avenue. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle matching the description was spotted on Solomons Island Road and followed to Crofton and pulled over. The suspect ran from the vehicle, but was quickly taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The money and a look-a-like handgun were recovered.Suspect: Samuel Rodney Moton of 318 Atlantic Street SE, Washington DC.


THEFT ARREST MILLERSVILLE

On August 15, 2009, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers observed a green Ford Explorer pull from the rear of the BP Gas Station at Veterans Highway and Benfield Blvd. The business had recently suffered several thefts of gasoline from U-haul Trucks that are stored on the rear lot. The officers stopped the vehicle and observed two five-gallon gas containers in plain view in the passenger compartment. A hose and funnel used to siphon fuel were also recovered from the car. Suspect: Robert Francis Graulich II, 43, of 805 Scott Circle, Glen Burnie, MD

ROBBERY ARRESTS GLEN BURNIE

On August 17, 2009, at approximately 12:30a.m., officers responded to the Elvaton Towne Community in Glen Burnie for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, the male victim stated that three male subjects approached him and placed a handgun to his chest. They then demanded and received his Ipod, cell phone and wallet. The three suspects then fled to a waiting vehicle being operated by a female.

With a description of the vehicle broadcast to other officers,it was seen traveling north on Elvaton Road at a high rate of speed. Officers stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Hospital Drive and Mountain Ridge Road.

All of the suspects were arrested and charged with  Armed Robbery, Theft, Assault, Use of a Handgun in the Commission of a Crime of Violence/Felony, and CDS violations. Suspect 1: Tevin D. Mcmillian, 16, of 8071 Green Orchard Rd Apt. T2, Glen Burnie MD (charged as an adult). Suspect 2: Trae S. Summers, 17, of 420 Secluded Post Circle Apt. K, Glen Burnie MD (charged as an adult). Suspect 3: Aaron J Whitten, 17, of 7906 Beach Plum Lane, Severn MD (charged as an adult). Suspect 4: Vashti E. Lewis, 17, of 1264 Thompson Avenue, Severn MD. Suspect 5: Shydreonna L. Collins, 17, of 370 Rambling Ridge Court, Pasadena MD (charged as an adult)
